Father's Day for Godzilla: Celebrate With The King of the Monsters
Celebrate Father's Day with the dad every young monster wishes they had.
The King of the Monsters may not have any biological children, but between foundlings, pseudo sidekicks, fellow monster fans, mad science, and cosmic events, Godzilla is nonetheless on the philosophical fringes of fatherhood. Read out to consider the several honorary offspring of "the dad that stomped up".
Minilla

The smoke ring-firing Minilla is a hatchling spared from rowdy Kamacuras on Sollgel Island by Godzilla. Grateful for saving its life, defending it from bullying, and setting a smashing example of how to straddle the worlds of monsters and humans, Minilla can easily be considered a valued ward of the King of the Monsters. Humankind owes Minilla that much for its defense from eradication in Godzilla: Final Wars.
Baby Godzilla/Little Godzilla/Godzilla Jr.

Three names, Godzilla's second foray into parenthood. Debuting in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II, Baby Godzilla was discovered in its Godzillasaurus egg by humans during a battle between Godzilla and Rodan.
The monster grew into Little Godzilla in Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, where it was caged in crystal. The monster had a growth spurt for Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, where it went by Godzilla Jr., and was a great help to its tragically "burning" parent, ultimately rising as an empowered adult monster.
Biollante

Based, in part, on Godzilla's cells, Biollante is an unintentional inheritor of the King of the Monsters' DNA (along with that of a rose and the late daughter of the scientist that created it).
With so much going on in its genes, it's no wonder that Biollante didn't bond with Godzilla as a paternal power, preferring instead to battle it across two iterative forms in Godzilla vs. Biollante.
SpaceGodzilla

Another inheritor of Godzilla (and Biollante) cells, this cosmic villain isn't one for a tossing a baseball with "dear old dad", preferring instead to try to destroy the King of the Monsters, M.O.G.U.E.R.A., Godzilla Jr., and much of Tokyo in Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla.
It's unlikely this crystal-covered kaiju had any familial inclinations toward its progenitor. Indeed, Space Godzilla probably felt more affinity for the black hole that mutated it than Godzilla.
Chibi Godzilla

Chibi Godzilla claims to be the son of Godzilla, but the young monster's biological origins aren't necessarily known, particularly because the fun-loving young kaiju is one to embellish.
The comedic monster's occasional appetite for destruction and "Insta-Heat Ray" beam, like Godzilla Jr. before him, do make Chibi Godzilla a kind of candidate for adoption by the King of the Monsters.
Godzooky

While Godzilla is referred to as Godzooky's uncle in 1978's The Godzilla Power Hour animated program, the young flying kaiju's coloring and other cosmetic similarities to the King of the Monsters are most likely symbolic. Like Minilla, Godzooky is not Godzilla's son in the traditional sense, but nonetheless protected and encouraged by its world's Godzilla in a paternally patient fashion.

*Ahem* Maybe ask us again closer to Mother's Day…
Happy Father's Day to all who celebrate, but especially to Godzilla!
