Beard Papa’s, the Japan-based chain known for freshly baked cream puffs, has launched its first collaboration with Godzilla! The new limited-time Godzilla Cream Puff is available at Beard Papa’s locations across Japan from July 1 to July 31, 2026.

The dessert is built around a striking black choux pastry shell made with bamboo charcoal and baked with a special cookie-style dough for a crunchy texture. The dark exterior is designed to evoke Godzilla’s rugged skin, giving this cream puff a look unlike Beard Papa’s usual lineup.

Inside, the Godzilla Cream Puff reveals a bright strawberry cream with bits of fruit, creating a contrast between the dark exterior and the sweet-tart filling. Beard Papa’s describes the item as more than a simple character collaboration, with the flavor and texture developed to stand on their own as a seasonal dessert.

The cream puff is priced at ¥390, tax included, and comes in one of three randomly distributed Godzilla-themed wrappers. Beard Papa’s has also opened a special Godzilla Cream Puff website with interactive content, including an experience designed to let fans enjoy the dessert while listening to Godzilla’s roar.

The Godzilla Cream Puff is scheduled to be sold nationwide in Japan through July 31, although availability, sale dates, and pricing may vary by location.
