'Dave the Diver' Gets Free Godzilla DLC on May 23

The sushi-catching cast of Mintrocket Games' Dave the Diver is about to face its biggest challenge yet as Toho's most iconic kaiju join the game in free Godzilla DLC on May 23.

In a twist fit for the title's multifaceted gameplay, players can expect to ally themselves with a recently-injured Godzilla (seen, in part, in a form evocative of its "Burning" appearance in Godzilla vs. Destoroyah) at the behest of the JSDF's G-Force.

Rather than facing fish with his usual harpoon the eponymous Dave will pilot a G-Force submarine capable of defending the Blue Hole from the crustacean kaiju Ebirah, from 1966's Ebirah, Horror of the Deep.

Dave the Diver fans can download the all-new Godzilla DLC on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5 on May 23. Check out GIFs from the upcoming adventure below:
