Hotel Gracery Shinjuku Upgrades Godzilla Room and Unveils Godzilla 2000: Millennium Diorama
09/14/2026
Hotel Gracery Shinjuku is adding even more Godzilla to one of Tokyo’s most recognizable monster destinations! Beginning September 3, the hotel’s single Godzilla Room has gotten a major update, while a new lobby diorama inspired by Godzilla 2000: Millennium welcomes visitors on the 8th floor.
The renovated Godzilla Room places a new 85-inch television at the center of the experience, allowing guests to watch Godzilla movie trailers and other footage on a much larger scale while relaxing inside the themed space.
The surroundings have also received a substantial refresh. Newly designed wallpaper changes appearance when photographed with a flash, while updated bed covers, cushion covers, and display pieces bring additional Godzilla imagery throughout the 32-square-meter room. The concept remains rooted in the Godzilla-themed experience that has welcomed fans since Hotel Gracery Shinjuku opened in April 2015, but the upgrades give the one-room experience a new visual identity.
There is also something new to see before checking in. Since August 21, the hotel’s 8th-floor lobby has featured its second Godzilla diorama of 2026, this time drawing inspiration from the 1999 film Godzilla 2000: Millennium. Spanning approximately 29 square meters, the installation features a large sculpted Godzilla logo as one of its defining visual elements.
The display is scheduled to remain in place through December 31, continuing the hotel’s rotating series of large-scale Godzilla installations. It joins the towering 12-meter Godzilla Head above Shinjuku as another reason the building remains one of Tokyo’s most distinctive destinations for Godzilla fans.
With a redesigned room and a new monster-sized centerpiece in the lobby, Hotel Gracery Shinjuku continues to find new ways to make Godzilla part of the guest experience!
