Today Toho and GKIDS revealed the first theatrical trailer and an all-new poster for Godzilla Minus Zero.
The theatrical poster centers on Godzilla surrounded by mysterious blue energy and bright gold light beams striking from above.
The new theatrical trailer begins with the confirmation that Godzilla was not fully destroyed, and offers a glimpse of the latest kaiju extermination operation. Masami Nagasawa joins the cast as Makoto Aoyama, a genius weather forecaster assigned to the Disaster Response Bureau.
Select moments in the trailer also show off the full 1.43:1 aspect ratio of the film’s IMAX sequences. As the first Japanese production Filmed For IMAX, Godzilla Minus Zero was shot with high-definition digital cameras certified by IMAX, and optimized in sound and imagery unique to IMAX screens.
Also joining the cast are Jun Kunimura, playing the role of Dr. Ogata, and Kou Maehara as Professor Murakami’s assistant Akira Hagiwara. Additionally, Kisuke Iida is confirmed to reprise his role as Akio Itagaki, the Toyo Balloon section chief who made significant contributions to the Godzilla extermination operation in Godzilla Minus One. Further cast additions include Kenji Mizuhashi, Eita Okuno, and Kai Inowaki.
Godzilla Minus Zero comes to North American theatres on November 6, 2026 with Oscar®-winning filmmaker Takashi Yamazaki returning as Director, Screenwriter, and VFX lead.Â
The film will make its world premiere as the Spotlight Gala selection for the 64th New York Film Festival on Saturday, September 26.
