Marvel Unveils New Cosmic Variant Covers for Godzilla: Infinity Roar

Marvel Comics and the King of the Monsters are gearing up for a crossover of truly galactic proportions! Beginning in February 2026, every issue of Godzilla: Infinity Roar will feature a Cosmic Variant Cover showcasing a spectacular confrontation between Marvel Universe cosmic characters and towering kaiju from Godzilla’s cinematic legacy.

Announced at New York Comic Con, Godzilla: Infinity Roar is a five-issue limited series written by Gerry Duggan with artwork by Javier Garrón and Ig Guara. Marvel has now revealed the new Cosmic Variant Covers created for all five issues, each designed to capture the high drama of classic film posters while highlighting larger-than-life face-offs between Marvel comic book icons and Japanese monsters of the movies.

The story starts after Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe, which concluded in November 2025. Exiled to a distant planet following a clash with Marvel’s superhero pantheon, Godzilla is reawakened by Knull, the God of Symbiotes. The sinister resurrection ignites a new campaign of destruction across space, as the King of the Monsters and the King in Black set their sights on galactic domination. Whether the cosmos can unite to halt the advance of these two colossal forces remains to be seen.

In anticipation of this interstellar rampage, the Cosmic Variant Covers bring together celebrated artists including Paulo Siqueira, Junggeun Yoon, Dave Rapoza, E. J. Su, and Mark Brooks. Each piece showcases a different Marvel hero battling a legendary kaiju character, presented in bold, cinematic compositions that will appeal to both sets of fans.
