'Godzilla Minus One' Wins Best International Film at the Saturn Awards

Godzilla Minus One director Takashi Yamazaki accepted the award in a short video.

The King of the Monsters has triumphed yet again as Godzilla Minus One won Best International Film this past Sunday at the 52nd Annual Saturn Awards.

In an acceptance video by writer, visual effects supervisor, and director Takashi Yamazaki not only thanked the passionate otaku for their support, but also reminded fans that he's currently working on the new Godzilla movie, which was greenlit last year.

Godzilla Minus One was nominated for a total of five Saturn Awards including Best Film Direction, Best Film Screenwriting, Best Film Visual / Special Effects, and Best International Film. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire also received nominations for Best Fantasy Film and Best Younger Performer in Film for Kaylee Hottle.

This Saturn Award compliments the already long list of critical acclaim for 2023's Godzilla Minus One and Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color, including winning the Academy Award for best Visual Effects.
