Godzilla Comes to Koreatown for Boba Bear’s Immersive Los Angeles Experience
03/04/2026
The King of the Monsters has landed in Los Angeles! Boba Bear’s Koreatown location has transformed into a research facility caught in the aftermath of a Godzilla attack. Running through April 30, the café is staged as a lab that has just been breached, with a colossal Godzilla foot crashing through the ceiling and the ground appearing as if it is still settling from the force of impact.
Inside, the interior space looks like a lab overtaken by kaiju-scale chaos. Debris lines the area, lighting cues heighten the tension, and each corner is built for fun and exploration. A poster gallery revisits Godzilla films dating back to 1954, while the City Smash photo set encourages guests to unleash their inner monster in a controlled destruction scene. Claw machines and capsule toy dispensers expand the arcade-style atmosphere.
Themed food and beverages power the experience. Three signature drinks are served in collectible Godzilla mugs priced at $25 in-store. “Neon Evolution” mixes kiwi, Calpico, green tea, and lime for a bright, electric blend. “Heat Ray” delivers lychee, blue razz, green tea, and citrus in a cool-toned refresher. “Operation Yashiori” offers a winter spice milk tea layered with ginger and vanilla. Guests can also build their own ramen bowl from a self-serve station, order a towering blue shimmering-sugar churro, or choose a stacked cold-cut sandwich served with house-fried chips.
Limited-edition merchandise includes a Godzilla apron, a Godzilla and Mothra mug, and additional official items available at Boba Bear only during the event.
Founded in 2010, Boba Bear has built its name on immersive pop culture collaborations that blend specialty drinks with high-concept staging. This new collaboration with Godzilla pushes things even further, transforming the café into a cinematic monster battleground.
The Godzilla pop-up is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at 414 S. Western Ave. in Los Angeles. For more information, visit the official Boba Bear website.
