08/19/2026
Godzilla is returning to New York Comic Con this October with a Godzilla Minus Zero panel, perfectly timed as fans prepare for the film’s November release.
The “Godzilla Minus Zero Panel at NYCC” is taking place on October 10 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm ET in Room 405. The panel will feature the film’s producer Kazuaki Kishida, as well as Tatsuji Nojiima, who was part of the Oscar®-winning VFX team of Godzilla Minus One, and two members of the Sound team, Natsuko Inoue and Hisashi Takeuchi. Fans can expect new updates and a behind-the-scenes look into the creation of the upcoming film.
Producer: Kazuaki Kishida
Born on February 25, 1991, in Osaka Prefecture. Kishida joined TOHO Co., Ltd. in 2023. Since 2015, he has been engaged in film production within TOHO's Film Planning Department.
His major produced works include Godzilla Minus Zero (2026), Godzilla Minus One (2023), GHOSTBOOK Obakezukan (2022), Dear Family (2024), and The Last Song You Left Behind (2026). He has worked alongside director Takashi Yamazaki on four films starting with The Great War of Archimedes (2019).
He received the 43rd Fujimoto Award, which honors outstanding film producers, for Godzilla Minus One.
Visual Effects Artist & Compositor: Tatsuji Nojima
Born in Suginami Ward, Tokyo in 1998. Nojima developed an interest in VFX production in his childhood after discovering movies such as Back to the Future and Pirates of the Caribbean. After joining SHIROGUMI Inc. as a compositor in 2019, he participated in the VFX production for director Takashi Yamazaki’s The Great War of Archimedes (2019) and STAND BY ME Doraemon 2 (2020), as well as numerous commercials, feature films, and music videos.
While working as a compositor, the liquid and explosion simulation effects he created as a hobby caught the eye of director Takashi Yamazaki. This led to his involvement in effects work starting with Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle (2021) and GHOSTBOOK Obakezukan (2022). Later, in Godzilla Minus One (2023), he was in charge of large-scale ocean simulations and contributed to winning Best Visual Effects at the 96th Academy Awards, marking the first time for a Japanese film to receive this honor.
Sound Designer & Foley Artist: Natsuko Inoue
Born in Hiroshima Prefecture in 1985 and graduated from Japan Academy of Moving Images in 2007. After joining the sound effects company ALKABUS, Inoue studied under Kenji Shibasaki, one of Japan's leading sound effects engineers. She is currently affiliated with Playful Sound LLC. Inoue is active as a sound designer/sound effects editor and Foley artist primarily in feature films, and is a member of the Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE).
Her notable recent works include the films Missing (2022), Godzilla Minus One (2023), Never After Dark (2026), and the Netflix series The Human Vapor (2026). For the global smash hit Godzilla Minus One, she won Best Sound at the 17th Asian Film Awards (AFA). She was also nominated in the Foreign Language Feature category at the Golden Reel Awards hosted by the MPSE.
Production Sound Mixer & Post-Production Sound Mixer: Hisashi Takeuchi
Born in Tokyo in 1978. Since 1999, Takeuchi has worked as a freelancer in audio production primarily for feature films, as well as television, commercials, and streaming content. He began working as a production sound mixer in 2015.
He has handled sound recording (production sound mixing) for numerous films, including La La La at Rock Bottom (2015), Chihayafuru Part 3 (2018), Invisible Witness (2019), Just Remembering (2021), GHOSTBOOK Obakezukan (2022), and Godzilla Minus One (2023).
Additionally, he works as a post-production sound mixer mixing feature films, broadly engaging in film sound from recording through post-production. For director Takashi Yamazaki's work, he served as the production sound mixer on GHOSTBOOK Obakezukan and Godzilla Minus One.
For Godzilla Minus One, he won the 47th Japan Academy Film Prize for Best Sound Recording. He was also nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing – Foreign Language Feature at the 71st MPSE Golden Reel Awards, and won the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award at the 77th MPTE Awards (Motion Picture and Television Engineering Society of Japan) as well as the Sound Recording Award at the 21st J.S.A. Awards (Motion Picture and Television Sound Recordists Association of Japan).
