Godzilla Roars into Japantown San Francisco on New Mural
See two new Godzilla pieces at the Japan Center East Mall.
Godzilla's public art presence in San Francisco has officially expanded into the heart of Japantown, just in time for the 70th anniversary of the King of the Monsters. Joining the Godzilla Feature Wall at Oracle Park are two new Godizlla pieces by artist E.J. Su, now on display in Japantown San Francisco's Japan Center East Mall.
Unveiled on Friday, the mall is now home to a standalone piece depicting Godzilla from Godzilla Minus One, plus an action-packed approximately 40 x 10.7' Godzilla mural that includes a monsters row of kaiju: Godzilla, Jet Jaguar, Kumonga, Mothra, Gigan, Varan, King Caesar, Titanosaurus, SpaceGodzilla, Rodan, Minilla, Mecha-King Ghidorah, Baragon, Mechagodzilla (Kiryu), Hedorah, and Biollante.
