Playmates Toys is adding a new crossover line to shelves in 2026 with the Kaiju Power Rangers action figures, inspired by the IDW comic series Godzilla vs. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers II. The figures made their debut at the North American International Toy Fair in New York from February 14–17, 2026, with the first retail wave scheduled to arrive at Target stores in March.
The comic’s story explains why these figures look heavier, sharper, and more fearsome than standard releases. When Rita Repulsa gives the Psycho Rangers a monstrous new upgrade, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers turn to the one force powerful enough to tip the balance: Godzilla. By combining forces with the King of the Monsters and other kaiju, the Rangers become something new altogether, the Kaiju Power Rangers!
Available @ Target March 1st, 2026 & The Godzilla Store
Visually, the figures blend the core look of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers with elements inspired by classic movie monsters, beginning with Godzilla. The first wave includes the Green “Godzilla” Ranger, Blue “Anguirus” Ranger, and Red “Rodan” Ranger. Each figure features multiple points of articulation, a character-specific weapon, and a gold Morpher medallion figure stand. Each figure is priced at $15.99.
For fans of Godzilla and Power Rangers, this line taps into the thrill of seeing human-sized superheroes go full kaiju. With Rita Repulsa and the Psycho Rangers pushing things to extremes, the Kaiju Power Rangers action figures bring morphin time thrills to a bigger scale than ever before!
