The first official LEGO set featuring the King of the Monsters brings Legendary’s Monsterverse design into brick form, with 5,363 pieces and a height of over 70 centimeters when posed with the included Heat Ray.

Launching November 27, 2026, the brick-built Godzilla is the largest LEGO Ideas model ever launched. Recommended for builders aged 18 and up, it makes a standard Minifigure look small enough to reach only as high as the creature’s ankle!

Scaly skin, jagged dorsal fins and a sweeping tail capture Godzilla’s familiar silhouette, while a posable head and articulated limbs offer room to adjust the stance. Articulated shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers allow for smaller changes, too. Swap the tongue for the Heat Ray element to recreate that unmistakable upward blast.

The project began as a Product Idea submitted to LEGO Ideas by New York-based Fan Designer Matthew Esposito, known as MattE720 on the platform. After more than two years, the idea reached 10,000 supporters and progressed to the LEGO Ideas Review. Once selected, Matthew’s fan creation was taken forward by the LEGO Ideas Design team, who developed the original concept into the final LEGO Ideas Godzilla set.

“Building Godzilla was a real passion project,” Esposito said. “The head was definitely the biggest challenge, but seeing the model come together and eventually reach 10,000 supporters after more than two years was incredible. I’m so grateful to everyone who supported the project and helped make this dream a reality.”

A closer look at the LEGO Ideas Godzilla set is coming during the LEGO Black Friday reveal livestream on November 3 at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT / 5 p.m. GMT. The reveal celebrates Godzilla Day alongside the theatrical release of Godzilla Minus Zero. Esposito will join the LEGO Ideas Design Team, Jordan David Scott and Jim Clayton, for a live Q&A about turning the iconic titan into a buildable display piece.

Digital instructions will also be available through the LEGO Builder app, with zoom, rotation and progress-tracking tools to help navigate construction.

The official LEGO Ideas Godzilla set goes on sale November 27 at LEGO Stores and LEGO.com/Godzilla, priced at $449.99 USD / £349.99 GBP / €399.99 EUR.
