Hello Kitty & Friends x Godzilla Happy Meal Brings Kaiju Crossover to McDonald’s

Hello Kitty and Friends are cosplaying their way into the world of Godzilla with a new Happy Meal at McDonald’s, bringing two of Japan’s most recognizable pop culture universes together in a playful crossover!

Available starting August 18, the Hello Kitty & Friends x Godzilla Happy Meal includes one of eight exclusive collectible toys, with each design combining a familiar Sanrio character with a monster from the Godzilla series. The designs use costumes and visual details inspired by the kaiju, creating playful new interpretations of these recognizable icons.

The eight collectible pairings include Hello Kitty x Godzilla, Cinnamoroll x Destoroyah, Badtz-Maru x Rodan, My Melody x Mothra, Keroppi x King Ghidorah, Chococat x SpaceGodzilla, Pompompurin x Gigan, and Kuromi x Mechagodzilla, with each Sanrio favorite receiving a distinct look inspired by a different kaiju counterpart.

With eight toys in the collection, the collaboration gives Sanrio and Godzilla fans a new lineup of limited-edition mashups to collect throughout the promotion.

The Hello Kitty & Friends x Godzilla Happy Meal is available at participating McDonald’s restaurants nationwide for a limited time, while supplies last.
