Godzilla is stomping his way into beer coolers across America! Pabst Blue Ribbon has teamed up with Cuban-American artist Peter Santa-Maria, better known as Attack Peter, for a larger-than-life collaboration capping off the King of the Monsters’ 70th anniversary year. Beginning in October 2025, over 60 million PBR cans and boxes will feature original Godzilla-themed artwork carved in Attack Peter’s signature linoleum block print style.
The Godzilla x PBR collaboration transforms Pabst’s iconic blue ribbon look into a showcase of handcrafted kaiju illustration. Each design was meticulously hand-carved using Attack Peter’s signature linoleum block print technique, resulting in striking black-and-white illustrations of Godzilla, Mothra, Mechagodzilla, and King Ghidorah. Together, they bring a collectible new dimension to one of America’s most recognizable beers.
The signature Godzilla design will feature prominently on PBR cans and packaging, including single-serve cans and the larger 25-ounce cans. The 25-ounce cans will go even bigger with three additional Kaiju designs from Attack Peter. A limited number of Godzilla cans will also feature a special “Heat Ray effect” that activates when chilled, turning the can blue at the perfect frosty temperature.
Attack Peter reflected on the collaboration as a personal milestone in his artistic journey. “The King of the Monsters has smashed open so many doors for me and today is a continuation of that epic journey!” said Attack Peter. “I’m so incredibly fortunate to work alongside Toho International and Pabst Blue Ribbon to bring my linoleum block print designs honoring Godzilla, Mothra, Mechagodzilla and King Ghidorah from my studio in Miami into your coolers, parties and anywhere else that calls for a monster sized celebration!”
Fans won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the new designs. The Godzilla Store offers exclusive products celebrating the Pabst Blue Ribbon collaboration, giving collectors a great way to toast the King of the Monsters in style.
