Godzilla Festival Osaka Gets King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla Anniversary Exclusives and More

In anticipation for its April 28 opening, Godzilla Festival Osaka (also known as G-Fes Osaka) has revealed celebratory logos and exclusive merchandise for two of the King of the Monsters' most celebrated foes and their monster milestones. Not only does 2024 mark the 70th anniversary for Godzilla, it's also the 60th anniversary of King Ghidorah, plus the 50th anniversary of Mechagodzilla.

Godzilla Festival Osaka attendees and others in the area will have a chance to purchase an exclusive Godzilla Festival t-shirt and sticker, along with anniversary edition King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla t-shirts, metal keychains, stickers, and shot glasses.

G-Fes Osaka is also celebrating its local cuisine with okonomiyaki color versions of the CCP Middle Size Series Godzilla (1954) and Hedorah sofubi figures. These figures are limited to three per shopper.

These items will be available exclusively at the Godzilla Store Daimaru Umeda Branch (3-1-1 Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka-shi, Osaka, Japan), which will be open during regular store hours from April 28 through May 2 on the 5th floor of the Daimaru Umeda Store. The store is a four-minute walk from Grand Front Osaka's Ume-Kita Plaza. Fans in Japan can get a chance to purchase exclusives with numbered tickets, which will be distributed on April 28. Details will be announced on the event website.

Godzilla Festival Osaka will open free to the public at noon on April 28 at Grand Front Osaka, Oumekita Plaza (4-1 Ohfuka-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture). The event will stream on the Godzilla Japan YouTube channel.
