The King of the Monsters is heading to the world of Formula One. TGR Haas F1 Team has announced a season-long collaboration with Godzilla that will bring the long-running film icon into the global motorsport spotlight during the 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship.
The partnership will debut during the Japanese Grand Prix scheduled for March 27–29, marking the first time the character has been formally integrated into a Formula One program. As part of the launch, a special-edition race livery will be unveiled at Tokyo Midtown Hibiya in Tokyo, Japan, on March 24, ahead of the Suzuka race weekend.
Throughout the 2026 season, the collaboration will feature integrated branding, digital campaigns, limited-edition merchandise, and race-weekend fan activations designed to connect Formula One audiences with one of Japan’s most recognizable pop culture characters.
After the Japanese Grand Prix debut, the partnership is also scheduled to appear at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, October 23–25, extending the project’s reach to American fans and highlighting the international appeal of both Formula One and Godzilla.
The Texas race weekend will take place shortly before the U.S. theatrical release of Godzilla Minus Zero, which is currently scheduled to arrive in American cinemas on November 6.
Ayao Komatsu, Team Principal of TGR Haas F1 Team, described the collaboration as a unique opportunity to introduce the King of the Monsters to new audiences while celebrating Godzilla’s global impact.
“It’s an honor to bring a global icon such as Godzilla to this sport and activate across an important year for the franchise,” Komatsu said. “We want our fanbases to combine and celebrate with us, as there will be lots to engage with this season.”
With special liveries, merchandise, and event appearances planned across multiple continents, the partnership is set to place Godzilla at the center of one of the world’s most visible sporting stages during the 2026 racing season.
