How to Celebrate Godzilla Day 2024

Godzilla is 70! Seven decades after director Ishirō Honda and special effects master Eiji Tsuburaya revealed Godzilla to Japanese audiences on November 3, 1954, the King of the Monsters has only become more captivating and resonant to its growing global fanbase.

As always on November 3, 2024, we celebrate Godzilla's massive multimedia canon across film, TV, animation, sequential art, and beyond with the King of the Fandoms, plus the partners that power the screenings, exclusives, and other activities that make Godzilla Day thrive.

Here's how to get your special 70th anniversary celebration going:

Godzilla Minus One Movie Tickets

North American theaters will welcome Godzilla Minus One and Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color back to theaters on November 1, with all-new in-theater content including a pre-film VFX reel and post-credits Q&A with with Godzilla Minus One director, writer, and VFX supervisor Takashi Yamazaki and visual effects director Kiyoko Shibuya. Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Godzilla-Thon!

In Los Angeles, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures will host fan activities and show multiple films as part of Godzilla-Thon, screening Gojira (1954), Destroy All Monsters, Godzilla vs. Hedorah, Shin Godzilla, and Godzilla Minus One at the David Geffen Theater on November 3 from approximately 11 a.m. to 9:35 p.m. PT.

Godzilla vs. MoMi

The Museum of the Moving Image will host six Godzilla screenings from November 1-3 at its Redstone Theater in New York. The Godzilla vs. MoMI event screenings include Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla, Mothra vs. Godzilla, Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster, The Return of Godzilla, Gojira, and the rerelease of Godzilla Minus One.

Trill Burgers

Trill Burgers will serve its Godzilla Burger starting November 2 at its 3607 S Shepherd Dr. location in Houston, Texas.

The Godzilla Store

Can you say "Godzilla Week?" Start your 70th Anniversary Smash early. From October 30 through November 3, pre-order daily drops and more from the Godzilla Store for a limited time.

Books-A-Million

Participating Books-A-Million stores will offer one of two Godzilla 70th Anniversary posters (featuring art from IDW's Godzilla: 70th Anniversary comic) with qualifying Godzilla purchases while supplies last from October 27th through November 9th.

Funko

Funko is celebrating Godzilla's 70th anniversary with Pops!, Mystery Minis, and more, including at the Godzilla Store.

Mondo

Mondo will reveal multiple offerings in celebration of Godzilla's 70th this Godzilla Day including posters, figures, and drinkware, including at the Godzilla Store.

Super7

Super7 will unveil special Godzilla figures and more at retailer partners including the Godzilla Store as early as November 1.

Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz will roll out a wealth of skate decks and apparel as part of the Santa Cruz x Godzilla Collection, including exclusive designs at the Godzilla Store.

Threezero

The KAIJU-DOU GODZILLA (1974), the 9" debut Godzilla figure from threezero will be available for pre-order at the Godzilla Store on November 3.

YouTooz

YouTooz will unleash its all-new line of Godzilla figures, featuring Hedorah and Rodan.

Cavity Colors 

Look for three new Godzilla 70th anniversary t-shirts inspired by the King of the Monsters in its debut 1954 appearance, along with fan-demanded restocks of classic merch at the Cavity Colors website on November 3.

FYE

Fans can check out FYE's exclusive Godzilla Kaiju Berry Burst Blueberry Ramune and shop drinkware and other home goods, plus check out new Godzilla display signage at participating physical locations.

TeeTurtle

TeeTurtle will launch a new line of 6" Godzilla Reversible Plushies, including a "Burning" Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, Mothra, and Rodan on November 1. You'll be able to find all four at the Godzilla Store.

Heroes & Villains 

New Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire styles are set to debut at Heroes & Villains.
