Get an Inside Look at Godzilla in New 'Monarch: Legacy of Monsters' Videos

Legendary's Monsterverse expands into streaming on Apple TV+ on November 17 with the release of the first two episodes of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, and there's no time like Godzilla Day to get your first inside look at the 10-episode series.

Initially debuting alongside the Godzilla vs. Megalon and Jet Jaguar shorts last night at Godzilla Fest 2023 in Japan, Apple TV+ revealed the show's opening sequence along with a first look video showcasing new footage plus commentary from select cast and crew.

With a dramatic story spanning more than half a century, Monarch Legacy of Monsters is set to follow a family connected to the Monsterverse's resident secret organization. The series stars Kurt Russel (older) and son Wyatt Russel (younger) as Army officer Lee Shaw, Anna Sawai as Cate Randa, Kiersey Clemons as May, Ren Watabe as Kentaro, Mari Yamamoto as Keiko, Anders Holm as young Bill Randa (John Goodman reprises his role as the older Bill), Joe Tippett as Tim, and Elisa Lasowski as Duvall.

Executive produced by Toho Co., Ltd. Representative Director and President, Hiro Matsuoka and Head, Global Strategies, Takemasa Arita and Legendary Television, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is co-developed and executive produced by Chris Black and Matt Fraction.

The series runs weekly through January, leading up to the April release of Legendary's Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
