Zip Line into Godzilla’s mouth at Nijigen no Mori

Located on Awaji Island, the theme park is a must visit destination for Godzilla fans.

Nijigen no Mori on Awaji Island is home to “Godzilla Interception Operation Awaji,” an attraction that features a 120-meter-long Godzilla with an accompanying zip line, the world’s only Godzilla Museum, a Godzilla themed cafe, and an extensive gift shop. Having opened in fall 2020, the interactive experience is a must-visit destination for Godzilla fans all over the world.

Godzilla Interception Operation Awaji features an original Godzilla story as part of the attraction. Visitors can watch a short movie briefing them on their mission to survey Godzilla, which has been forced into a sleeping state. From there, visitors can take part in the surveillance unit operation and zip line into a life-sized King of the Monsters. But the mission doesn’t stop there. Visitors must also destroy hostile Godzilla cells through a shooting game before considering the operation complete.

Walk Through Godzilla History

Featuring suits used in various films, displays of original models, and interactive photo and video opportunities, the Godzilla Museum at Nijigen no Mori is like no other in the world. Get up close and personal with your favorite kaiju from Godzilla and take a moment to appreciate the craftsmanship and special effects technology that went into the making of your favorite films. At the end of the museum, visitors can film a commemorative movie against a blue screen that puts them right into the action with Godzilla.

A Monster Meal

The Godzilla-themed cafe at Nijigen no Mori features an array of delicious bites featuring iconic kaiju. Enjoy a Mothra white curry, a Biollante pasta, or even a Godzilla cream puff!
