'Godzilla vs. Marvel' Comics Kick Off March 2025
Godzilla will take on the Marvel Universe across the eras.
The King of the Monsters will make its royal return to Marvel Comics in 2025, with plans to stomp across the paths of its most celebrated superheroes and villains.
More than 40 years after the original 1977-1979 Marvel Godzilla comic book series popularized by writer Doug Moench, artist Herb Trimpe, and other talents drew to a close, the publisher has followed up its recent facsimile edition and hardcover collection reissues to tell at least six all-new original one-shot stories across many Marvel eras.
The announcement is depicted with Marvel hero-packed promo art by Leinil Francis Yu and Romulo Fajardo Jr. that echoes Marvel's 2024 Godzilla variant covers series. Like Marvel's 2024 Godzilla variant covers, this promo sees members of the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four face off against Toho's most iconic kaiju.
The first in the "Godzilla vs. Marvel" lineup will be Godzilla vs. Fantastic Four #1 by writer Ryan North (Fantastic Four) and John Romita Jr. (The Amazing Spider-Man). The tale will pit Marvel's first family against Galactus and his newest herald, King Ghidorah.
Check out Spider-Man, Captain America, Storm, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Thor, She-Hulk, Hulk, Wolverine, Rogue, Mr. Fantastic, Iron Man, the Invisible Woman, Cyclops, Thing, and the Human Torch in the full Godzilla vs. Marvel comic promo below:
