RODAN

Preposterously powerful pterosaur kaiju.

A carryover from the Cretaceous Period, pterosaur kaiju Rodan has terrorized Japan’s skies since 1956. Sometimes fighting Godzilla, while other times allying itself with the King of the Monsters to overcome greater threats, Rodan supersonically soars with the times.

When Rodan first battled Godzilla in 1964's Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster, fans witnessed the ferocity of its berzerker beak and gale force gusts. It even seemed to brush off a blast of Godzilla’s heat ray.

Decades later, Rodan mutated into a fiery new form, gaining a heat ray of its own. It eventually sacrificed its life to resurrect Godzilla, giving the King of the Monsters the boost it needed to overtake Super Mechagodzilla.
