"Godzilla (1993) Brave Figure in the Suzuka Mountains" is now available as part of the "Yuji Sakai Sculpture Collection," a soft vinyl series sculpted and produced by Yuji Sakai! Originally released as a garage kit in 2018 as part of the "Yuji Sakai Modeling Studio 25th Anniversary Work", this figure will be released as a painted soft vinyl finished product, joining Yuji Sakai's popular series "Yuji Sakai Modeling Collection" using the same prototype as the garage kit.

In this work, Yuji Sakai has beautifully reproduced the famous scene from the movie "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla" (1993), where Godzilla stands tall in the Suzuka mountains, threatening Mechagodzilla with its tail raised high. The characteristics of Godzilla (1993), such as its long legs and fearless face, are accurately sculpted to the point where it seems as if Godzilla has jumped out of the movie. Godzilla's "Brave Figure in the Suzuka Mountains" stands majestically, glaring at its nemesis Mechagodzilla.

When the work was announced, Sakai walked around his local area taking reference photos of a background similar to the image in the movie. He also sculpted the diorama in front of Godzilla to create a full visual from the film, showing his commitment and deep feelings for his work.

Under Sakai's supervision, the Godzilla Store Limited Edition recreates the luminous image of Godzilla by painting the clear dorsal fin.

Sakai's original cast prototype was converted into wax and a master mold was created. The figure was made only from the master mold, with a focus on minimizing wear and tear caused by the soft vinyl production and reproducing the details as much as possible.
