The fan-favorite "Original Image Godzilla 2" has finally been released as a pre-painted, finished soft vinyl product called the "Godzilla 2000 Millennium Prototype Study Model Version"!

In 1999, Yuji Sakai was a modeler (Design Works) for the new Godzilla in the movie "Godzilla 2000 Millennium," and created the Millennium model. This Millennium model was released last year as the "Real Master Collection Godzilla 2000 Millennium Model Replica," to overwhelmingly positive response.

During the process of creating the Godzilla 2000 Millennium model, Yuji Sakai created the "Original Image Godzilla 2" and submitted it to the Toho staff room. After a meeting with the director and other staff, the "Godzilla 2000 Millennium Model" was created based on this "Original Image Godzilla 2" as one of the models for consideration.

While many of the design features that led to the birth of the "Godzilla 2000 Millennium Mode" can be seen, such as the gills that jut out from the head to the shoulders, the large dorsal fin visible from the front, the teeth like those of a cat, and the unprecedentedly numerous dorsal fins, this "Godzilla 2000 Millennium Model" looks more aggressive and ferocious than its predecessors due to its firm yet dynamic pose with both arms, sharply angled body and small head. As for the coloring, it is a novel expression that was not seen in Godzilla up until that point, such as the bright blue of the dorsal fin and the reddish skin on the inside of the gills on the neck.

This beloved Godzilla was heavily involved in the birth of the timeless masterpiece "Godzilla 2000 Millennium Model" and is indispensable when talking about the Millennium Model. This work, proposed by Sakai, who knows Godzilla inside and out, is one of the ideal forms of cool Godzilla. It can be said to be the original of the Millennium Model, so please add it to your collection along with the Millennium Model Replica and enjoy its craftsmanship up close.

The Godzilla Store Limited Edition is supervised by Sakai, and the dorsal fin is made of clear parts to give it a bright blue color. In addition, clear parts are used for the neck, and by applying silver paint from the inside, the red color on the neck creates a unique glossy feel that makes it look like it is boiling.

Sakai's original cast prototype was converted into wax and a master mold was created. The figure was made only from the master mold, with a focus on minimizing wear and tear caused by the soft vinyl production and reproducing the details as much as possible. The coloring is also reproduced by Sakai using an effective method for soft vinyl.
