Shin Godzilla: Orthochromatic Movie Monster Series Shin Godzilla Figure Set

A three-figure set of Godzilla as it appears in the Shin Godzilla: ORTHOchromatic movie is now available in the Movie Monster Series of soft vinyl sofubi figures.

The movie Shin Godzilla: ORTHOchromatic is a black and white version based on Shin Godzilla released in 2016, and was first screened at an event held in 2023.
"Ortho"is an abbreviation for "orthochromatic film," which is a type of monochrome film, and is characterized by a heavier face tone than the monochrome film currently in circulation.

This figure is a set of the three forms of Godzilla that appear in the movie, and not only faithfully reproduces the unique appearance of each form, but also uses different paint colors and coloring techniques for each piece. Bandai have pursued a unique texture unique to the "ortho" version. The entire figure is painted in a base color with a matte texture, and then the details of the surface are painted with brushes and other treatments, reproducing the color as if it had absorbed light.
