Godzilla is landing at Haneda Airport! Beginning in late December 2025, travelers passing through Haneda’s Terminal 3 will encounter a massive new monument dedicated to the King of the Monsters as part of the HANEDA GODZILLA GLOBAL PROJECT.
Standing approximately 131 feet wide and 20 feet tall, a massive, one-of-a-kind Godzilla monument will take over the Departure Lobby starting in late December 2025, serving as a symbol of Japan’s creativity and cinematic legacy.
In the second floor Arrival Lobby, visitors will also be greeted by graphics of legendary kaiju and a monstrous statue inspired by the award-winning film Godzilla Minus One, giving fans and travelers alike an awe-inspiring welcome to Japan.
Running from late December 2025 through late December 2026, the HANEDA GODZILLA GLOBAL PROJECT aims to link tourism with Japan’s global entertainment presence and share the power of Japanese creativity with the world.
Guided by the HANEDA GODZILLA GLOBAL PROJECT’s theme of “Welcome” and “See you again,” the King of the Monsters turns travel through Haneda Airport into an unforgettable one-of-a-kind experience. From the towering Godzilla monument in the Departure Lobby to the Godzilla Minus One statue and kaiju artwork greeting arrivals, each encounter gives visitors a memorable beginning or farewell to their journey in Japan.
