Celebrate a 'Godzilla Raids Again' Milestone with Pluto TV Stream-along

The Godzilla Raids Again watch party streams May 21 at 5 p.m. PDT on Pluto TV.

Godzilla Raids Again, the 1955 Anguirus-filled sequel to the original 1954 Godzilla, turned 69 this April. But for longtime North American fans, Motoyoshi Oda and Eiji Tsuburaya's classic film is sometimes considered just a few years younger.

Originally released in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures as the heavily-modified, dubbed, and localized Gigantis, the Fire Monster on June 2, 1959, Godzilla Raids Again wouldn't revert to its original form in the US until the mid 1980s.

To celebrate humankind's much easier access to the classic film that helped usher in nearly seven decades' worth of movie monster vs. monster mayhem, fans will be able to stream the original Godzilla Raids Again as part of a watching event on May 21 at 5 p.m. PDT on Pluto TV's Godzilla Channel. To join the watch-along party, be sure to engage with live viewing posts on the Godzilla X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram channels.
